Well that's interesting. Are they just taking down the master servers (and if so, we can do what we did with SS)? Where did you read this?

Reading through that forum you linked to reminds me what a good decision I made when I took the Tribes 1 disc that came with SS and threw it in the garbage.

I'd call you a snob, but other than checking on the status of the new Tribes master I avoid looking at most of that forum as well. Reminds me too much of Tribalwar and others.

Seems they've got a fix for the downed masters.

lol, well I have found that Plasmatic's IP is not static. :P

Anyhow, here is a real fix.

I'm currently running a replacement master server for Tribes 1 that is working on a dedicated server that has a static IP.

kigen.ath.cx:28000

For those who have Tribes 1 but are just lazy, here is a file.
