    Unhappy a Strange Problem....

I have had Halo on my System for a wile now, before the game worked perfectly not the slightest glitch was possible to see (or happen)

however, recently I have decided to play the game again and I have a big problem...

whenever I try to start an online game or campaign level the game will work fine for a few seconds, then you notice something weird <in this case some objects or items, will look like a yellow graphics glitch...>

    or

sometimes the whole screen will go yellow...

then the game will freeze <with sounds replaying ect…> and my whole system will stop... either nothing will work or it will reset itself...

I have tried many different video variations and still the same thing happens

I know its a viedo problem but I am out of ideas on what to do
my vid card is an: Geforce 8500GT, 256MB

so I'm at a loss at the moment...

plz plz plz any suggestions will be most helpful...

I can go into more detail with what happens if you want... <mabie I haven't expalined it properly...>

    Exclamation looked into it...

I have searched into what causes these crashes and it seems that any map that includes the fuel rod gun, the zoom of the M luncher and any vehicle will make the game freeze

hope that narrows it down 4 u guys

Have you tried the simple stuff like uninstalling/reinstalling Halo, uninstalling/reinstalling video card drivers, trying new drivers, and so forth?

However, when I look at their GamerScores online and see that they don't even have the cojones to get all 1000 points from EA's Fight Night Round 3, I know that I'm better than them, not just as a gamer, but as a human being as well." - Achievements Anonymous

    Red face at a loss....

    yep, and still nothing...

all I can think of is my system just too new?

but... I am begining to think it's my Anti-Virus

ever since I have installed the latest update the whole system has been a little weard... basicly nothing works now

there are a few updates for Halo that I am going to try, and if it still doesn't work, I am going to have to go for a whole system re-format

after the re-format I will install everything I want and see if everything works... other then that I don't know what I should do?...

    Talking Found it!!!!!!!!

    it was the Anti-Virus!

everything is faster <and working for that matter>

unfortunatly it means that my system basicly has no protection to virus's but if I can prioritise the system and then install the anti-virus it might still work...

    so we'll see...

    thanks for the suggestions

NP -- glad you got it working.
