So, the other day I borrowed my friends copy of Grand Theft Auto IV for the Xbox 360. Needless to say I was excited. However as soon as I started playing it (about 5 or 6 minutes into the opening scene) it froze on me.
Now the friend I borrowed it from is one of those kids who doesn't "take care" of there games. So I figured it was scratched or dirty. I cleaned it off and went at it again. This time I skipped the cut scene and got right into the game. This time, about 15 minutes into playing, it froze again. Once again I cleaned it. But from then on it kept freezing, and I kept cleaning it.
I figured the game was fucked. I then asked my other friend to borrow his copy. Reluctantly he said yes. But when I got back to my house to play it. The same problems with freezing continued to happen.
I have stopped playing Grand Theft Auto because it isn't fun or productive to play for 10 minutes at a time. I thought that all my games would start doing this freezing problem, but they didn't. Call of Duty 4 works along with all of my other games.
So after waiting a few years for this game to come out and pretty much purchasing an Xbox for this game, my system rejects that game and only that game.
So I guess my point of all this is that I desperately need your help. I have looked all over the net and found no other cases of this happening for Grand Theft Auto.
Does any one here have similar problems with GTA or other games. If so how did you fix it if you did.
Any responses would be greatly apreciated.
Also, it is good to be back again.
