Annoying Problem

I've been feeling up to playing Starsiege recently, but have had a nearly game ruining problem. I recently got a new computer and something isn't working right. I can't seem to figure out how to get my mouse to work outside of the missions. It works fine while fighting(aiming), but when I'm trying to navigate the main menu, load a game, or outfit my herc I'm forced to use the arrow keys and such. If anybody has tried using just the arrow keys you know how frustrating and time consuming it is.

Does anybody know how I can fix this problem?

I'm not sure, but I do know something that will help others help you. What are you running as far as system specs go (especially OS in use)?

Well my OS is Vista, which is probably where the problem lies.
