My 360 has recently developed a few problems that I would like some help with. The first one to show up, and the one I think may be the root, is a number of Disc Unreadable errors. This tends to come up often when I play games or watch movies, and I have to insert the disc multiple times to get it to play.
This was annoying, but bearable. However, tonight I attempted to play Call of Duty: World at War. After trying a few times to get the disc to play, it finally did. I started the first mission... and the console froze. Turned everything off, back on, got the game to play again... and got through the first mission.
The game then froze on the second mission when loading. Leaving it on for a few minutes resulted in the image dissolving to a grey and black checkerboard pattern.
I tried to load the second mission numerous times, and this was the most common result. It also happened once when I started the 360. One time, when loading the game, the game sent quite a bit of loud and annoying feedback through my speakers.
Is this primarily a disc drive issue, where I should get a DVD cleaning disc? Could it be an HDMI port issue? Or is something dying in my 360?
