    PS3 Gamertag Thread

Similar to the X360 Gamertag thread, let's start up a PS3 one. I recently caught the bug and picked the system up for my birthday last month and have been loving it ever since.

    Post in this format:

    Example:
    PSN ID: Mhaddy
Favourite Games: MGS4, Drake's Fortune, Ratchet & Clank

    PS3 tJY PSN ID's:
    ________________________________________________

However, when I look at their GamerScores online and see that they don't even have the cojones to get all 1000 points from EA's Fight Night Round 3, I know that I'm better than them, not just as a gamer, but as a human being as well." - Achievements Anonymous

    it's a PSN ID ffs.

    name: greyfade
games: MGS4, GTA4, Civ:Rev, and others. i don't have the games i want and can't really afford to go out and grab them. $60 is often just way too fucking much.

i've also had my 60GB on for a while - it's been off maybe... a week? since i bought it.

    it's a 250GB now. oh, hell yes.

Jasio - How is Resistance 2? Been meaning to pick that up but my time is currently occupied with Gears of War 2.

"Gamertags" updated to the lamer sounding "PSN ID's" as per grey's request.

    Resistance 2 > Gears of War 2.

Can't beat 480 hours of game play.

is it worth it to have all three 'next gen' systems?

I want PS3 for Blueray, but many of the titles I'm interested in are cross platform... in fact I think almost all the 360 games I've bought in the past few months have been on PS3 too...

I think Drakes Fortune, Resistance 2, and GranTurismo 5 are the only ones that may persuade me...

The Wii is completely different from the X360 and the PS3 -- if you love party games and the Nintendo brand, you have to have the Wii. The other two are more similar with only a handful of exclusives between them. I still stand by the X360 for online play but the PS3 has greater media capabilities and obviously, Blu-ray. But Blu-ray players have come down considerably in price so the [previously] cheaper price of the PS3 is no longer a game winner, IMHO.

I has a Wii and a 360 now. I like to play with my Wii. Sometimes, I invite MD's mom over to play with my Wii. She handles it pretty well, I think she's played with one before. Alot.

I don't think MD's mom has touched your penis. Based on how MD has carried himself around here, it seems like his mom probably has some class.

yea, I got a Wii. camped out for the damn thing... then got bored of it pretty damn fast. Haven't found too many titles that can hold my interest to be honest.

The Xbox though... I've had more games for that system than I ever did for PS2.

I use the media center and 'trasncode360' to stream movies from my PC when needed... and there is a bit lost in quality, but the hi-def TV shows I downloaded seem to be quite a bit better than the regular stuff... I just can't afford the amount of retail space Blu-ray stuff takes up on my HD to stream though...

Is Blu-ray worth it? I didn't think HDTV would be worth it, but we just got it and I can't stop watching hockey now because of it!

Thank you, VC, *hands him a cookie*.

Lenny, Blu-ray is worth it. I'm not buying a ton of movies simply because of the cost of the movies ($30+!) but when I get one as a gift or when you pick up the Dark Knight... oh, it's worth it. When digital movie downloads pick up a bit more, that'll put some pressure on Blu-ray and hopefully will lower the price. But from an audio and visual perspective, it's sweet man.
