    If we got some faggots who knew what they were doing and motivated we could really get Starsiege back in the action.

    Possibly. The HERCs still handle like oversized FPS models. Need to fix it for more of the "giant walking tower of death" feel.

    In what ways would you do that? The only one that I can think of is somehow limiting how fast weapons can rotate, but that doesn't sound fun at all.

    Constant engine loop sound? Walking sound loop, like the sounds of grinding gears, hydraulics, and whatnot? Weapon movement sound loop?

    Imho the best part about Starsiege back in it's day was how awesome it sounded...

    Technically, you shouldn't hear anything since the vehicle is airtight, but presumably, vehicles have some kind of mechanism that collects outside sounds and plays them within the HERC. So yes, the HERCs should be louder and have more general SFX. That or turn up your speakers really loud .

    The Vehicle DTS shapes could be edited to round them off around the edges and make them less square, and map the skins on them more presicely (I have noticed that many skins have certain areas that are drawn in on the bmp but do not actually map onto the herc). Anyone know the vehicle polygon limit?
